Library Trip Tomorrow and Cross Country
Hi Parents and Caregivers,
Tomorrow morning from 9.05-10 will be our Junior Cross Country if the weather is fine. Please wear appropriate footwear.
Tomorrow is our class library trip. A few things to remember are:
Classes will walk together. The classes will leave school at 11:00am and return at approximately 1:40pm, stopping for lunch along the way. The library visit itself is approximately one hour long. If you are able to come on the trip, we will need you as a parent help between 10:45am-2:00pm.
Please ensure your child has:
• comfortable footwear for walking
• lunchbox
• a bottle of water
• rain jacket or umbrella
• book bag
• medication they may require
To ensure safety and that numbers are kept to a minimum, we need to ask that parent helpers do not bring pre-schoolers.
If you have offered to be a parent help on the trip please arrive at school at 10:30 am.
Thank you for all your help,
Miss Watson, Miss Thompson and Miss O'Connell

Kid Pix Monkeys
Help us learn our monkey song!
Hi Parents and Caregivers,
For our music times with Mrs Sadgrove we are leanring this song about monkeys.
View it below:
Here are the words to the song:
Monkey See, Monkey do
Do you want to follow monkey too?
There’s a monkey in the middle, just because
You gotta do what that little monkey does
Follow monkey, follow monkey, follow monkey, follow monkey
Now the monkey in the middle takes a bow
There’s a new little monkey gonna show us how
Monkey’s in the middle just because
You gotta do what that little monkey does
Follow monkey, follow monkey, follow monkey, follow monkey
Now the monkey in the middle takes a bow
There’s a new little monkey gonna show us how
Monkey’s in the middle just because
You gotta do what that little monkey does
Follow monkey, follow monkey, follow monkey, follow monkey
(Keep repeating above)
Ch’n copy the actions of the child in the middle
Thank you, Miss Watson, Miss O'Connell and Miss Thompson

Our class monkey!
Hi parents and caregivers,
Meet our class monkey 'Marvin'. He is going to go home with one lucky child each night. We would love if you could fill out one fact your child knows about monkeys on the special piece of paper we send home with the monkey. This fact and the monkey need to come back to school with your child the next day. This will help with our 'Finding stage' of action learning. We are learning to find information and resources to help answer our questions about monkeys.
Fiddle, Fiddle, Foodle, Fie
Hi parents and caregivers,
Our poem of the week this week is "Fiddle, Fiddle, Foodle, Fie". We have been learning about the letters 'e' and 'f' this week and the sounds they make in different words. We all circled the letter 'f' in our poem today and coloured in the fishes that fly in the sky. At home you can ask us what sound /f/ makes and get us to read the poem with you.
Assembly 24th may!
Well done Cassandra for bring awarded our classroom certificate! You have settled into school and produced some high quality work. Room 20 is very proud of you.

Action learning: Deciding and finding stages
Hi parents and caregivers,
As a class we have decided we would like to study monkeys and find out more about them. Yesterday we went to the library and looked for books on the computer about monkeys. When we go on our trip to the library we will have a look for monkey books. If you would like to bring any information you have on monkeys to school, that would be greatly appreciated.
Step 1: deciding: we are learning to find out what we already know.
Step 2: finding: we are learning to find information and resources to help answer our questions.
Fun times on the playground
Hi parents and caregivers,
