Hi Parents and Caregivers,
Our book today is 'My Best Bear' by Dot Meharry. Some key items to focus on in the book with your child are:
1. The High frequency words 'my' 'is'. You can also talk about the Casey Shapes that make up these words. This will help your child with writing. The Casey shapes to make up 'my' are 'm' short stick, tunnel, tunnel, and 'y' cup, possum tail. The Casey shapes to make up 'is' are 'i' short stick, lady bug spot, and 's' sammy the snake.
2. Find all of the words in the text that start with “B” or “b”. List more words that start this way.
3. Construct a list together of the “essential” characteristics for a teddy bear.
Thank you,

Hi Parents and Caregivers,
Yesterday was swimming day. It was so exciting to go swimming and play games in the pool. We all managed ourselves well and Miss Watson and Miss Ellis were very impressed. Well done Room 20 for a great first swimming lesson.
Thank you,
