E Papa Waiari Homework
Hi Parents and Caregivers, We are learning the Waiata 'E Papa Waiari' at school in class. Please practice with the Rakau sticks at home drumming to the beat. 1st beat is on the ground, 2nd and 3rd beat is crossing the stick and hitting them together, repeat for the whole song. Here is the link to the song at the bottom of the websites page, Look for 'E Papa Waiari' http://tereomaori.tki.org.nz/Reo-Maori-resources/Hei-Waiata . View Photos below of the steps. Thank you, Nikki & Sarah

Welcome to School!
Welcome back to school today! What wonderful weather we had. Today we learnt about 'Monster Manners', A monster comes to school and does not know how to behave in the classroom. The children decide to make up some rules to help the monster know how to behave. Some of the behaviours that fall under 'Above the line' are: raising my hand, sitting cross legged, working hard and listening. Some behaviours that fall on the 'Bottom line' are: laying down on the mat, not listening and not keeping our hands to ourselves. And some behaviours that fall 'Below the line' are: hitting, kicking, and pushing. Meet some of the monsters below:
