Bee Pantomime
Today Mrs Tuck told us she loved bees and Mrs Macarni said she didn't because she got stung! We had to teach her to love them. In Mrs Tuck's basket was Baked beans, tomato sauce, flowers, strawberry ice cream and they all had help from bees! Bees pollinate flowers that help make things like strawberries or beans or tomatoes. Binoculars were also in the basket. Can you remember what birds do to help bees?

Ukulele playing in music
Today for music we got to play the ukulele. We were all great at playing. Maybe next year we can join the ukulele lunch time club.
The Bee keeper!
Today we got to visit a real bee keeper. We saw 50,000 bees in a hive. The bee keeper showed us some of the tools he uses with the bees and let us ask some questions. We learnt that the queen bee lays eggs and after 25 days baby bees hatch out of the eggs and chew through the wax lid. We also learnt that wax is actually white and it is the pollen that makes it turn yellow. In the hive we saw a queen bee who was been born and was going to take half the hive to start a new hive. This was very exciting and we really enjoyed seeing the bees.
'The Big Sad Wolf' Show
Today we went to see 'The Big Sad Wolf' show in the hall. We got to meet lots of different fairy tale characters. The show was interactive and very funny. We really enjoyed meeting the children from learning curves too!
